What are your office hours?

The McCoy Tour office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Where is your office located?

Our office is located in Kingston at 566 Cataraqui Woods Drive east of Gardiners Road. Here is a map and directions.

Do you sell gift certificates?

McCoy Tours sells gift certificates in dollar amounts as well as for a specific tour.

How can I get updated information on your tours?

We are constantly updating our website with new tours as well as at any time you can request to be sent out a full listing of all tours by phone.

Are children allowed on your tours?

McCoy Tours are generally designed with adult travellers in mind but children are always welcome! McCoy Tours provides family tours through out the summer months that would be better suited for young children.

What if the weather is bad, does the tour still go?

All scheduled tours will proceed regardless of weather conditions. Our McCoy Tour drivers are experienced coach drivers and are looking out for the safety of each passenger at all times.

Do we have to make reservations for the casino?

Reservations are recommended as they guarantee you a spot on the coach however you can go to the pick up location and if there is space you will be able to board.

What is included in the tour price?

McCoy Tours has many different tours which included a variety of attractions, food and accommodations. Please check each itinerary for what is included. Note all tours listed on the website or in print already included GST.

What form of payment is accepted?

McCoy Tours accepts Mastercard, Visa, Debit, Cash and cheques received more than 10 business days prior to departure.

When is final payment due?

With McCoy Tours full payment is due at time of booking on all day tours. On overnight tours, a $100 deposit is due at time of booking with final payment due 60 days prior to departure. The only exception to the rule is on Nascar and Buffalo Overnight Tours: 50% is due at time of booking with final payment due 60 days prior to departure.

Can we get our money back once we have paid in full?

McCoy Tours are non refundable and non transferable to another tour within 30 days of travel. Except on Nascar and Buffalo Bills Overnight Tours which are non refundable once payment as been received.

Will we receive our tickets in the mail or do we have to pick them up?

To avoid lost or damage tickets McCoy Tours hands out all tickets on the day of departure.

Can we purchase insurance from McCoy Tours?

McCoy Tours sells both Medical and Cancellation insurance through RBC Insurance and strongly recommends purchasing insurance when traveling outside of Ontario.

How much luggage am I allowed?

McCoy Tours allows 1 large piece of luggage and 1 carry on bag per client. If you are booked on an overnight tour where you have a stop over at another location on there way to the destination, your larger pieces of luggage will go straight through to the destination and an overnight bag is recommended. Luggage handling is not included when you stay overnight at a hotel on your way to your destination, which is why we recommended an overnight bag that will be stored separately from your larger luggage.

How much spending money should I take with me?

This is a common question for travelers, and is very difficult to answer. The amount of money you may spend varies for each individual, and there are many issues to consider. Make sure that you have read your itinerary completely are aware of what is and isn’t included. Budget for all meals that are not included and money for shopping and souvenirs.

What can I bring back duty free from the US?

After a stay of 24 hours or more (but less than 48 hours) in the United States, a Canadian citizen or resident may return to Canada with:

  • CND $50.00 worth of goods, tax and duty free, per person
  • Any purchases of alcohol or tobacco may be subject to duties and taxes
After a stay of over 48 hours or more (but less than 7 days) in the United States, a Canadian citizen or resident may return to Canada with:
  • CND $400.00 worth of goods, tax and duty free, per person
  • Purchases may include 1.14 litres (40 ounces) of liquor or 1 case of beer (24x355ml cans/bottles) or 1.5 litres of wine plus 200 cigarettes (1 carton), 50 cigars or cigarillos, 200 tobacco sticks, and 200 grams of manufactured tobacco.
After a stay of over 7 days or more in the United States, a Canadian citizen or resident may return to Canada with:
  • CND $750.00 worth of goods, tax and duty free, per person
  • Purchases may include 1.14 litres (40 ounces) of liquor or 1 case of beer (24x355ml cans/bottles) or 1.5 litres of wine plus 200 cigarettes (1 carton), 50 cigars or cigarillos, 200 tobacco sticks, and 200 grams of manufactured tobacco.

What identification should I take with me?

When crossing into the States you are required to have either government issued photo ID with birth certificate or Passport. Please note that proper Identification is also required to travel on any of our casino tours.

What does Single, Double, Triple and Quad mean?

McCoy Tours rates are based on the number of clients that would be in each room. For instance, if you were traveling by yourself you would pay the Single rate. If there were two of you sharing one room you would each pay the double rate and so on. Most tours only accommodate 4 per room however exceptions have been made for families where there are two adults and 3 children.

Where do the tours depart from?

Depending on the McCoy tour, we have different departure locations within Kingston. Please make sure to verify on your receipt and itinerary where your departure location is. We also accommodate pick ups in Napanee, Belleville, Trenton, Gananoque and Brockville when the tour is traveling through each city.

On all extended overnight tours we offer free shuttle service from Napanee, Belleville, Gananoque and Brockville to either our office or a location where you would be able to meet up with the coach.

Does the coach have washroom facilities?

All McCoy coaches are equipped with a washroom in the back of the coach.

I have a medical condition that requires me to have the front seat. Can you reserve that for me?

Due to the large volume of requests for the front seat McCoy Tour’s policy is that all seats are on a first come first serve basis. If you are looking to get a seat closer to the front of the coach we do advise arriving early.

I am boarding in Napanee, will my traveling companion and I get a seat together?

For those not boarding in Kingston McCoy Tours will reserve seats together however it is at the discretion of the tour escort as to where they will be. They could be in the front, middle or back and they are only placed on the seats the morning of departure.

Why do I have to sign a Liability Release Form?

Clients who do not purchase cancellation or medical insurance must sign a liability release form to acknowledge that it has been offered to them and that they understand the terms for not purchasing insurance. All forms must be signed and handed into the office prior to departure.
